Daniel Pinchbeck is the bestselling author of Breaking Open the Head and 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl. He is the executive director of Center for Planetary Culture, a think tank that advances new ideas and approaches to contemporary problems. He co-founded the company Evolver.net, which produces the web magazine Reality Sandwich and Evolver Learning Labs. His work and ideas were featured in the 2010 documentary, 2012: Time for Change, directed by Joao Amorim and produced by Mangusta Films. He has written for many magazines including The New York Times Magazine, Esquire, Rolling Stone, Wired, and Dazed & Confused. He hosted the recent talk show Mind Show, for GaiamTV. He is an adviser for the open-source social network, Minds.com.
